I had to go to the eye doctor today for a check up on my eye that I had surgery on over a year ago. The good news is, it's still in fine shape, even with six stitches still in it. Straight out of Baltimore, comes news that Dark Horse will be collecting Mike Mignola's Hellboy. Expected in 2Q 2008, it will reprint all the stories in chronological order similar to what they did with Frank Miller's Sin City - which is an awesome collection in of itself. My pal across the pond, Joe, from Forbidden Planet International, turned me on to this one. Steve Flanagan does an incredible review of Bryan Talbot’s Alice in Sunderland using comics panels in the style of the actual book with a narrator standing in front of the art to explain things. In many ways the book is better with the review. You’ll see what I mean.

Tobey Cook from Silver Bullet Comics is reporting that Gothic Towers: The Best of DEADBEATS will be released from Claypool Comics at the end of this month. It will be a 160-page compilation of specially-selected sequences from the over eighty issues of DEADBEATS. This volume is intended to serve as the definitive introduction to the DEADBEATS series and companion to the webcomics.

ICv2 is reporting that Alan Moore's Hypothetical Lizard will be released by Avatar Press in a collected trade paperback ($15) and limited hardcover edition ($25) in July. The hardcover edition is limited to 750 copies.
